NM Labs · Solo software workshop

One precise problem, solved all the way.

Nicolas designs and builds tools alone that do one thing, and do it well: specified, tested, secured, ready for real users rather than for a demo.

Alongside the tools: Android boxes turned into servers, and parametric 3D models.

How a project leaves the workshop

The same mechanics every time, whether it is a shop receipt or a regex engine.

  1. Diagnosis

Spot the real problem before writing a line of code, and call it off plainly when the first idea no longer holds up.

  2. Specification

Write down the project rules and split the work into batches, each with verifiable success criteria.

  3. Batch development

Each batch is built then validated before the next one opens. Nothing moves forward on a shaky batch.

  4. Audit and go-live

Security, data, payment: put through the wringer before real users touch them.
